Training Practice

As a training practice, The Integrated Care Partnership have a long tradition of supporting the development and training of new doctors and feel very strongly that to teach modern medicine, you need to be at the forefront of modern medicine.

Many of our partners are directly involved in the postgraduate training of doctors who are pursuing a career in general practice.

Trainees are fully qualified doctors who are training in general practice at varying stages of their postgraduate training.

GP Registrars

GP registrars are fully qualified doctors who have completed their hospital training and wish to pursue a career in general practice. They spend twelve to eighteen months with The Integrated Care Partnership to improve their consulting skills and widen their experience in primary healthcare.

The GP registrars hold daily surgeries like the other doctors at the practice and are mentored by a GP trainer. Doctors Kate Dale, Heather Carr-White and Clare Crabtree are all approved trainers for the Kent, Surrey and Sussex postgraduate Deanery.

Medical Students

Occasionally, medical students from the London teaching hospitals will be attached to The Integrated Care Partnership.

During their time at the practice they will observe consultations with the doctor or nurse. This is an essential part of training the next generation of doctors who could be responsible for your future care.

Reception staff will always ask if you consent to a medical student observing your consultation. If you would prefer not to have a student present during your consultation please let us know. Experienced partners are always available.
